Senior Adult

Senior Adults at Highland are pillars of wisdom and strength. Their life experiences and years of godly living are resources for the coming generations. They've got some really great stories to tell, too!

 

We value the participation of Senior Adults in our worship services and Connection Groups. We also have a weekly Bible study on Wednesdays, a great time of worship, study, and fellowship. In addition to these gatherings, the Senior Adults are always on the move attending musicals at Dallas Baptist University and Prestonwood Baptist in Dallas and going on outings to Granbury and historical sites in Texas like the steam engine in Rusk. We do occasionally have some special events.

 

Naomis are our widows, and they are a vital part of the Seniors ministry at Highland as well.

Highland seniors, while many enjoy being active, also participate in ministry to the sick and shut-ins, who don't have that luxery. We don't want them to miss out on sweet fellowship and prayer! There are many seniors who are house-bound, living in nursing homes, or recently admitted to hospitals and those numbers are always increasing. We strive to visit each person to bring encouragment and good cheer.
